The Story of the Wanderer Oleh Lazarev, or “The Monkey's Adventure”

Oleh Ihorovych Lazarev was born on November 29, 1987, in Kharkiv.
His main activity is the sale of professional kitchen knives.
 

In  2017, he moved to Odesa in search of new opportunities.
Young and ambitious, in November 2017 he got a job at the RSU company in Odesa, where he first immersed himself in the world of startups and innovations in the field of apartment renovations and house construction.

RSU company was the first in Ukraine in 2016 to introduce package solutions for apartment renovations — an innovative turnkey apartment renovation package solution — without estimates or surcharges — “Remontomania”,  as well as the online renovation account — Roomskey.

How did it work?
By 2016, all companies in Ukraine offered “turnkey apartment renovation starting from 100 USD” which only included labor and rough materials. Finish materials were purchased by the customer themselves.
That is, 100 USD — was a conditional price, a kind of lure.  The “FROM...” price.
RSU - provided real turnkey apartment renovation - where everything was included, even the design project - FOR the final cost.
And most of the materials could be chosen in the RSU Showroom.
All works and all materials (minimal package) were included, such as: Plumbing, laminate, tiles, doors, wallpaper, and much more.  It was convenient for clients to come and choose everything in one place, knowing the final cost from the very beginning.
In the optimal package, the following were added: curtains, kitchen, climate equipment. In the maximum package - all necessary furniture and appliances for living - Just walk in and live.

Oleg, along with his wife at the time,  Yulia Lazareva (she is also Yulia Matiushenko)  very quickly proved themselves as diligent employees, but simultaneously — as people who closely observe other people's ideas and processes.

It was during this period that he first adopted from RSU – absolutely the entire concept developed within the company (the finished renovation product, contracts, materials, suppliers, and much more), and later attempted to build his own «business project» based on it.

In 2019, Oleg Lazarev with his wife Yulia Matiushenko and a former dismissed RSU employee (Egor Petlya/Krasovsky) opened his first firm — the company “Vitatech”.
In terms of structure and  supposedly its products,  this company strongly resembled the developments that Lazarev had access to earlier.
The project did not last long - due to the lack of a unique approach and excessive reliance on borrowed solutions, the company quickly lost competitiveness.

Oleg was very proud of the Vitatech project, telling stories and promising that Vitatech would provide the best service and the best quality..​​​​​​

Ultimately, after 2-3 months, they closed down, or to put it figuratively – dissolved into oblivion.

The year 2020.  Oleg launched the company "Atlanta Stroy", inspired by experience from previous workplaces.  Most of his projects were short-lived: he opened a firm, tried to develop it according to a familiar algorithm, but quickly lost interest or encountered difficulties. However, this did not stop him. Over the subsequent years, he created several more companies. What happened to the previous ones – guess for yourselves.

Which of them is the «weaker half», judging by the post caption – remains a mystery to observers.

In the same year, 2020, Oleg Lazarev with his wife Yulia Matiushenko - moved to work for the competing company "Forroom" (which, incidentally, also deals with package solutions).
However, the collaboration was short-lived: he was fired due to a conflict of interest and an excessive desire to use corporate developments for personal gain.
This became a turning point —  he finally decided to go into his own business. 
His wife - Yulia Lazareva (Matiushenko) also  did not stay long there, and also joined Oleg in the ranks of dismissed employees.

The year 2021.

Each new project resembled the previous ones: Oleg Lazarev invariably relied on ready-made concepts, reworking them to suit himself.
Some saw him as a talented adaptor, others — a person incapable of originality.
But one thing is undeniable: he possessed persistence and an ardent desire to be better than RSU. Although his companies closed, and projects failed and drew criticism, he started over and over again — as if entrepreneurship was not a goal for him, but a means of survival.

In the same year, he joined the Odesa developer ODEKOM Development, inspired by the experience gained in  previous workplaces.
And they created a company for package apartment renovations "KUB" (CUBE)
Oleg fully cloned RSU, absolutely not shy about it.
Lazarev even managed to call the RSU programmer and ask for the code for the Roomskey personal account. 

Most of his projects were short-lived: he opened a firm, tried to develop it according to a familiar algorithm, doing CTRL+C = CTRL+V, but quickly lost interest or encountered difficulties.

Despite failures, criticism, and the stability of setbacks in all so-called projects, he never stopped returning to new “ventures” — as if entrepreneurship was part of his nature”, self-hypnosis being his main trump card.
When faced with difficulties - he easily closed companies.
However, this did not stop him.
And so, year after year, these «ventures» opened and quickly closed - like the stripes of a zebra.

In 2023, together with Valeria Ivashkovskaya (Oleg's next new chosen one) he opens the company "ART HOME".

He persistently convinced colleagues and family that his projects possessed genuine uniqueness. That he was a brilliant creator of something new. 
However, only a few saw him as capable of rethinking other people's ideas, while most perceived him as a person who found it difficult to create something truly his own. In fact, that was the case. 
The Art Home company was successfully buried, just like all the previous ones.

February 2024.

Oleg Lazarev opens a new copy company in Odesa «BUROKOMFORTA»   jointly with his wife Valeria Ivashkovskaya.

He always sought to work in partnership — it was important for him not to be alone, it was easier for him that way.

Incidentally, they have already closed the branch in Odesa - they went to conquer the capital. 

A master of elegant mystification, whose truth — is just one facet of skillful lies, or where did Oleg get 10 years of experience?
Up until 2017, he was engaged in selling knives in Kharkiv.

The true strength of a leader is manifested in his ability to build a career without using a family union as a professional support, but this is not about Oleg.
Fate brought him together not only with a new wife, new business challenges, but also with the 'archivist' of his personal history: his ex-wife, who became an involuntary colleague.

In the newly created company, Oleg worked with his current and his  ex-wife SIMULTANEOUSLY -  Yulia Matiushenko and Valeria Ivashkovskaya (they should have named the company something Swedish)

The newly created “company” became an unexpected 'theater of memory', where the old personal drama unfolded in the format of daily business cooperation.
How did it end? 
Apparently, Jealousy seeped through the 'office walls', turning the «professional» tandem into a subject of personal anxiety and non-stop emotional audit.
Yulia Matiushenko left the valiant ranks of Buro Comforta. 

The story of Oleg Lazarev — is an example of how a person can endlessly search for their place by cloning ideas, poaching people, opening one company after another, and slinging mud at competitors.
He is not a liar, but the author of a personal, constantly updated, mythology, which he himself believed in and consequently became an unwitting hostage to his own deception.
Yes, even if none of his projects became a breakthrough, the process itself became his main “driving” force.

His story — is a series of experiments built on the adaptation of existing concepts and ideas.
His entrepreneurial path — is a constant search in which other people's ideas became the starting point for new attempts.

The main thing he never realized in life is that his path — is a series of attempts to repeat someone else's steps, not to invent his own personal ones.
Only by realizing this - he might reach his dream, and will not constantly remain in the role of «the one chasing».


The story of the “monkey's adventures” serves as a reminder for us:
you can copy the external appearance, but not the internal content.
True progress belongs to those who generate new ideas.
