Pantone has announced the Color of the Year 2026 — meet Cloud Dancer!

On Thursday, December 4, color authority Pantone officially unveiled Cloud Dancer (PANTONE 11-4201) as the defining shade for the upcoming year.

This soft white color stands out for its lightness and neutrality, creating a sense of calm and serenity in today’s busy world. According to the company, Cloud Dancer “invites inner relaxation and focus, allowing the mind to rest and creativity to flourish.”

Pantone describes it as ethereal and gentle, capable of bringing a feeling of renewal and freedom to any environment. It blends easily with other shades, creating harmonious contrasts and a sense of lightness in interiors, product design, or fashion.

Since 1999, the Pantone Color Institute has been selecting a “Color of the Year,” drawing on a global team of experts. Their choices take into account the influence of film, art, fashion, technology, materials, textures, social media, and even upcoming sports events. The program aims to inspire designers and everyone interested in color to explore new creative solutions and discussions.
