Vintage

In recent years, the trend for everything "vintage" has been growing stronger, including in interior design. So today, let's talk about perhaps the most bohemian and refined interior style - Vintage. In interior design, this direction emerged in the early 90s. The vintage interior is an interior with character and taste. The decor, exclusive and original, sets the main atmosphere of the style, revealing the stylistics of the previous decades of the 20th century. And what are the other characteristics of the style?

  1. Time. Finishing elements, interior objects, and decor - time must leave its mark on everything. Artificial aging, wear and rust. Authenticity and the return of every detail.
  2. Simplicity: neutral wall finishes, smooth ceilings (molding - yes, multi-level, gloss, and lighting - no).
  3. Furniture - forged, wooden, with carved decor. With peeling paint and cracks. With faded colors and patterns. Bright plastic furniture from the 60s is also, surprisingly, vintage.
  4. Decor - the name of the style speaks for itself. Old photographs, posters, figurines, candle holders, blankets, sewing machines, gramophones - any trinket from a flea market can emphasize and highlight your interior.

But remember, an apartment with an abundance of vintage decor is already a museum. Time should not touch every single thing. A few tasteful accents are enough. And creating a tasteful vintage look is accessible to everyone, the main thing is desire and the right approach. Do you want a vintage interior? Come get it at RSU
